June 1st Update

Web Browser Plugin

In the last update we announced that we began accepting applications to beta test our web browser plugin. We will be selecting applicants for the next few weeks. The lucky few that are chosen will be sent details about how to download and test our web browser plugin. If you have not applied to be a beta tester, and you would like to be considered, please fill out the form located here. Our community should anticipate the release of the web browser plugin later this month barring significant issues during testing. The release of our web browser plugin will allow us to market our product to millions of active browser proxy users across the world, and is the first major step in our goal of a free and open internet.

With the release of our web browser plugin, we will be much closer to the release of our full peer to peer VPN services. As previously discussed and outlined in the browser extension whitepaper, the browser extension utilizes much of the same client and server side infrastructure as the Intense VPN. The release of our VPN services will occur in August of this year. As August approaches, keep an eye out for another beta test of our full VPN services.

The blockchain team is pleased to announce we have implemented extensive automated monitoring and reporting for the Intense Coin blockchain via Zabbix. The Zabbix platform has been tailored to monitor critical indicators of stability of the Intense blockchain such as average block time, difficulty and hash rate, block size, and transaction pool (mempool) size. Accordingly, Intense team members are immediately alerted when the blockchain varies from expected parameters. We have been tweaking the Zabbix monitoring setup for the last few weeks in a private environment, and will soon be exposing this monitoring interface to the public to allow general users to easily view health indicators of the Intense blockchain.

The decision to establish rigorous monitoring was driven by a goal to be proactive, rather than reactive, with the Intense network. With concrete monitoring and a response protocol in place, our team has enhanced our capability to ensure the Intense VPN functions with minimal interruption. Monitoring and alerts allow us to swiftly become aware of service interruptions and offer quick resolution.

New Advisors

Our team continues to grow, and with its growth, we would like to introduce our new members. A warm welcome to our new advisors below.

Content creation position filled

We would like to introduce our new Content Creator Manager, Zara Maisie.

She writes about technology and has a passion for cloud computing, blockchain technology, and cyber security. When not working, she splits time between baking, catering to the demands of her cat, and volunteering to help with special-needs children.

Zara will start her new challenge on the first of June. She will be in charge of content creation for Intense including our official updates. We look forward to seeing her expertise and enthusiasm applied to our exciting business!

VPS structure

The idea behind integrating virtual private servers (VPS) into our current business model is to help mitigate the financial risk of owning a masternode by generating additional wealth in a safe environment. Accordingly, we are seeking partnerships with masternode developers to explore integration of the Intense Coin exit node with their existing project(s). Integration would include testing of the exit node software and possibly bundling of setup instructions or packages. If you are a masternode developer and you would like us to review your project, fill out the form located here. We will be reviewing projects during the month of June and we will contact those that we would like to pursue partnership with during the month of July.

If you are a community member that owns a masternode or would like us to review a prospective masternode project for partnership, please post as much information as possible about the project in our dedicated Discord channel #masternode-vps-talk.

Community Growth

Our community is constantly growing, and new community members are showing up each and every day. Since our Slack channel was seeing reduced volume, and we had an overwhelming number of people asking us to open a Telegram channel, we have made the decision to close our Slack channel. Our Slack channel was closed yesterday May 31st, 2018. If you were still using Slack, we ask that you chose one of the following channels to communicate with us moving forward.

Twitter: 5,090 followers

Facebook: 2,330 followers

Telegram: 143 members

Discord: 4,662 members

Reddit: 1,885 subscribers

Altex Exchange

We were added recently to Altex Exchange. In order to ensure that we provide credible information to all of our users, our team has tested ITNS deposits, withdraws, purchases and sales. Each of these aspects were operational as of 05/29/18 at 01:30 AM UTC on Altex Exchange. We have opened a Discord channel so that users can ask any questions or discuss the exchange.

Social media manager

At this time, we are still accepting application submissions for our Social Media manager. If you are interested in the position and would like to apply, please send your resume or CV to casey at intensecoin dot com.

Bug Bounty Program

We have implemented a bug bounty program into our Discord channel. The bug bounty program rewards users for making the Intense team aware of issues with our products. The intention of this program is to keep our products and network as healthy as possible, and it’s no secret that we count on the community to help keep us on our toes! The current structure for our bug bounty program is as follows:

  • Very low risk
    • Bugs that hinder the use of the overall product
      • 1K ITNS
  • Low risk
    • Not necessarily severe enough to cause any lasting issues to the overall product. However, they would be detrimental if left unchecked.
      • 5K ITNS
  • Medium risk
    • Poses a risk to the overall product or service that is offered by us.
      • 25K ITNS
  • High risk
    • Poses a threat to the overall product and could have a lasting effect if left unchecked.
      • 50K ITNS
    • Severe Bugs
      • If a severe bug is found, please direct message (DM) a member of the team. These bugs could be exploits that may cause serious damage to either our project or its reputation.
      • We will discuss the bounty for these bugs on a case by case basis.

The process for bug reporting varies by bug severity. For very low risk to medium risk bugs, please create an issue for the bug on Github and then post a link to your issue in our dedicated Discord channel #bounties. High risk or severe risk bugs should be reported directly to a team member on Discord via DM, emailed to an Intense developer.

Once the bug has been verified and corrected, payment will be issued to you. Payments will be issued on the 1st of the month each month for all bugs that are confirmed by the team.
